Protect Your Home Before Leaving For Summer Vacation To Prevent Damage

Last minute summer trips may have you running out the door in a hurry. Please make sure to take a minute to protect your home from accidental water or fire damage! Here is a quick check list to ensure your home is in the same condition you left it in.
- Kitchen: turn off the stove/oven and unplug any small electrical appliances.
- Living Areas: turn off ceiling fans and unplug any unnecessary electrical devices
- Bathroom: Unplug irons/hair dryer and make sure no faucets are running
- Bedrooms: again, turn off ceiling fans and make sure no candles were left lit
- Laundry Room: make sure the dryer is not running
Lastly, make sure all toilets are flushed and the trash is taken out! This will keep your home smelling fresh as well. We hope this short list of precautions is helpful and creates a less stressful traveling experience!
