Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging was first developed for military use during the Korean War. This kind of imaging uses temperature to distinguish hot and cold temperatures through walls and long distances. It is used by firefighters to see through smoke and find people; It is also used by law enforcement to locate suspects and handle search and rescue efforts. But those aren’t the only ways it can be effective or helpful.
How We Use Thermal Imaging
We use it to locate water trapped within walls or floors. Water damage can create long term issues if not detected soon enough. That’s why it is important to catch the source of the water and correct the problem and dry out any affected materials before it is too late. Thermal imaging may be the solution before one has to take a destructive approach. Although, thermal imaging cannon “see” water, it can detect differences in temperature that could indicate a location to test. This is just one of the reasons why SERVPRO of Oxford/Batesville/Clarksdale can be of service to you. If you suspect water damage, give us a call at 662-281-1881.
